What are the BIG 3?

The Big 3 are three questions... questions for both believers as well as those investigating Christ, which are used as a means of grace (i.e. "something that helps us open our hearts to God").  They are tools... and tools only fulfill their purpose when they are used.  So you have to use them (ask and answer them) to get results in your life.  As a reminder you can donwload a "Big 3" Desktop Wallpaper from the Resources Page by clicking here.

Question #1:  How am I doing spiritually? (a.k.a. ... "Where is God in my life?" or "How is my walk with Jesus?")

This question is straight forward.  How are things between you and God.  Do you feel close or far away? ... Are you spending regular time with Him reading the Bible, and praying, or are you trying to manage a long-distance relationship with Him.  Answering this question helps us discover "how we are" in Christ.

Question #2: Where do I struggle?

We ALL struggle... there is not one of us who has it all together 100% of the time.  Being "real" with one another is essential for spiritual growth.  You may be struggling in an area, but a friend may have words of encouragement for you in your struggle, and can pray with you.  Answering this question helps us discover "where we are growing" in Christ.

Question #3: What am I doing to make a difference in the world?

This question many times brings on immediate feelings of anxiety, like the expectation would be to move to Africa as a Missionary.  The truth is, the smallest spiritual conversations can have a huge impact.  Sharing a smile with someone when you don't feel like it.... mentioning God to a friend as you tell them how good He's been to you ... making a difference in the world is all about taking your faith and making it public even in the small ways.  Answering this question helps us discover "our unique purpose" in Christ.
